Matching Activities:  Being able to sort objects by attributes.

Sock Match Up

Children sort socks by color and texture.

*Egg Match Cut out a supply of egg shapes from wall paper scraps and wrapping paper scraps.  Laminate the eggs for durability.  After laminating the eggs cut them in half like they have been cracked open.  Have the children match the eggs and put them back together.

Sorting objects by color or type.

Color Pattern Cards

Make pattern mats with colored dots, these color pattern mats can be used with any math counters that are colored.  (Farm Animals, Transportation, dinosaurs, Bears, Fruits and Sea Animals)

Make pattern mats with colored dots, leave some of the squares blank or with a question mark.  Children will need to figure out which color pattern is missing.  These color pattern mats can be used with any math counters that are colored. (Farm Animals, Transportation, dinosaurs, Bears, Fruits and Sea Animals)
