*Introduce the letter (B, b) and word bird to the class; add bird
under the letter B with a picture of a bird to your word wall. Show the children objects that start with
the letter B, b(bead, basket, ball). See if the children can find objects that start with the letter B
in the classroom environment. Use word alliteration with the letter B so the children can hear the sound.

the different colored eggs marked on the outside of each bucket. Encourage the children to drop the eggs
into the matching bucket.
*Egg Carton Math Match Set out a supply of plastic eggs
and egg cartons. On the inside top of egg carton place a number of 1-12 or 1-18 depending on the size of

the back of the lesson, cut into squares and make a memory game. Let the children play one another.
