Class terrarium.  Low maintenance way to incorporate plants into your classroom.  It is also a excellent tool for teaching children about the water cycle as it demonstrates evaporation, condensation and precipitation.

Top of our science shelf is a jar with plant starters so the children can view the root system of plants.  Next is a drift wood tree that has a bird house attached and also a birds nest, nesting between the branches.  Under the tree is our bird nest collection, that we keep in see through jars.
